First, it is not lawful if it includes full episodes and order. As if the official website of the TV program, do not download the episodes for free cuz it is illegal is not a copyright violation. However, you should no viruses if you download a video.
It is very difficult to put a virus in a video file. Saying that it is impossible, but if someone just wanted a virus there are many easier ways to do this using the services of Megavideo. Any file that you are out of the network, this is not a program (Photos, videos, MP3s, etc..) Can in principle be as may be confident, but if you have a bad feeling about a file, it is advisable to not only for download.
How illegal is for the legality, any copyrighted work, download it to your computer without having to work somehow (buy the DVD, paid for on iTunes, pay, etc..) But you really should not scare away all the advantages of freedom of the press .
